As part of our commitment to bring art education into the community, a Budding Artist Competition was integrated within the art show. Sponsored by Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc., the associated 501c3 non-profit that focuses on visual arts, community enrichment, cultural diversity, and fostering art education among youth, this unique and one-of-a-kind program encouraged students in grades 6-12 or ages 9-19 to create his/her original art and exposes students to the rules and entrepreneurship opportunity of doing art shows for a living. The program brings families to the art show who might not otherwise attend and exposes them to great art. Judging was based on originality and technique/execution. Winners were:
