Hot Works Fine Art & Craft Shows primary focus is quality of visual arts represented at our events, in addition to diversity, community enrichment and fostering art education amongst the youth. Our focus is quality, not quantity, and we bring patrons with the means to purchase art. In order to achieve a high-class art fair, the Hot Works team continuously travels around the nation and Canada visiting some of the best art shows to recruit artists for Hot Works™ events.

Criteria for jurying is originality, technique/execution, and booth presentation. In order to keep the quality from year-to-year, each show is juried separately to help meet Hot Works high standards. To learn more about the criteria, you can contact us.

The Process

Artists are invited to apply via “manual” application or electronically via ““. Each artist may apply to one or more events of his/her choice. Along with the application, each artist must submit three images of his/her most compelling work, and one of his/her booth presentation as it would be set up at the show. For your booth photo, please do not show anyone in your booth, and please do not include any signs in your booth. Please show browse bins, if applicable.

In addition to the pre-show jurying process, there is a jurying process that takes place on site. Each Hot Works event gives artist awards, sponsored by our non-profit affiliate, Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc. Judges attend the event and spend a minimum of 6-8 additional hours reviewing the artists on site. Also, for onsite jurying, the selection is based on technique/execution, originality, and booth presentation. Prizes are awarded in all of our events. Each artist is represented with a beautiful, two-foot long award-winning ribbon to hang in their booth on Sunday and is invited to return to that show the following year.
